Flight Search

Context

This mockup represents a user interface concept I designed for a modern flight search and booking app. The goal of the design was to streamline the travel booking process by creating an intuitive, mobile-friendly experience that reduces user friction and enhances clarity at each stage of the journey—from search to confirmation.

Process

The first screen showcases the search results page, where users can input departure and arrival airports (ORD to LAX), select travel dates, and filter results by price or departure time. The design emphasizes readability and comparison by clearly displaying flight duration, airlines, and pricing in an easy-to-scan list format.

The second screen represents the checkout and payment interface. Here, users can review their selected departure and return flights, view the total cost, and select their preferred payment method. Options include Apple Pay, PayPal, or manually adding a different method, catering to various user preferences.

The third and final screen displays the booking confirmation page, confirming successful payment and flight reservation. It includes essential travel details in a clean, minimal layout, providing peace of mind to users at the end of the booking process.

This UI design reflects key principles of user experience: simplicity, clarity, and accessibility—ensuring users can book flights quickly and confidently on the go. The visual direction leans on a soft, modern color palette and minimalistic elements to support a frictionless interaction model.
